Norza's case set for mention on Sept 15

TEMERLOH, Wed: The Sessions Court here today fixed Sept 15 as the new mention date of the corruption cases of former Federal Territory Umno Youth chief Datuk Mohamad Norza Zakaria and his agent, Halimi Kamaruzzaman.

Judge Azuar Che Yusof fixed the date at the request of Mohamad Norza's lawyer, Jahaberdeen Mohd Yunoos, who asked for the postponement to enable him to hand over several documents to the prosecution to iron out the representation issue of both accused.

Mohamad Norza is also represented by lawyer Datuk Muhammad Shafee Abdullah.

Mohamad Norza, 43, a former Umno supreme council member, is charged with giving a RM1,500 bribe to Khadri Musa through Halimi to distribute to the delegates as an inducement to vote for him for a supreme council seat in the Umno elections in March. - + selanjutnya
