Police Act to be reviewed to allow public assembly
PUTRAJAYA: The Police Act will be reviewed to allow the public to assemble in specific places without having to obtain police permits, said Home Minister Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Tun Hussein.
He said Wednesday that the amendment to the Police Act would be among several, including the controversial Internal Security Act (ISA), which would likely be tabled at the next parliament sitting in October.
Among other acts to be amended include the Multimedia and Communications Act, the Restrictive Residence Ordinance and Public Security Act.- + selanjutnya
