Najib asks Perak to accept ‘legal’ BN government

IPOH, Oct 18 — Prime Minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak told Perak folk today to accept that Barisan Nasional’s (BN) takeover of the state government earlier this year was done according to the law.
His statement, as well as his presence in the state for the inaugural launch of his “1 Malaysia” concept, comes at a most appropriate time, just ahead of the impending Oct 28 state assembly sitting.
The sitting is expected to be just as chaotic, if not more, than on May 7, where Pakatan Rakyat's (PR) Speaker V. Sivakumar was forcibly removed from his position by plainclothes policemen.
The Tronoh assemblyman was subsequently replaced by BN's Datuk R. Ganesan, generating the series of arguments over the legality of his appointment, which was raised by the state's ousted PR administration. - + selanjutnya
