Youth chief receives death threat

BUTTERWORTH: Penang MCA liaison committee deputy chairman Eng Hiap Boon has lodged a police report over a death threat he received via a text message for declaring his support for the party leadership's sacking of Datuk Seri Dr Chua Soi Lek.

Eng, who is also the state's Youth chief, said he lodged a report at the Bukit Mertajam police station yesterday morning.

Speaking at a press conference to voice the state's support for party president Datuk Seri Ong Tee Keat at the Bagan division headquarters, Eng said he refused to entertain an earlier SMS, which warned him to be careful. - + selanjutnya
