Kadar Shah loses court battle

DATUK Kadar Shah Sulaiman Ninam Shah, the "missing" Umno politician, has ended up the loser in the nine-year court battle with a businessman involving a RM1 million loan.

The Federal Court yesterday dismissed his final legal recourse with costs - which means Kadar Shah has exhausted all avenues for an appeal.

And for the second time in nine years, Kadar Shah may have to contend with a writ of seizure and sale. In October 2000, Kadar Shah paid RM501,753.44, being part of the RM1 million, to the lender Mohammed Norlizam Jailani, 39, after such a writ was executed. Kadar Shah had obtained a holding over order last July 3 pertaining to the writ of seizure and sale filed by Mohammed Norlizam on June 30 for the recovery of the balance of money owed to him. - + selanjutnya
