Nurin’s dad vs Govt, cops: Oct 30 date in court

KUALA LUMPUR: The High Court has set Oct 30 for clarification and a decision on the negligence suit filed by the father of Nurin Jazlin, the eight-year-old who was abducted and murdered two years ago.

Deputy registrar Siti Nordida Sulaiman set the date in her chambers upon meeting the parties on Monday.

In the negligence suit filed on Aug 21 last year, Jazimin Abdul Jalil, 35, named the Inspector-General of Police, the Selangor police chief, the Petaling Jaya district police chief and the Government as defendants.

Jazimin’s lawyer, Akberdin Abdul Kader, told The Star he was asking for judgment to be given by the court as the defendants had identified the person responsible for the act. - + selanjutnya
