Agent provocateur denies MACC holding him to ransom

IPOH, Oct 23The agent provocateur employed by the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) in the corruption case involving two former PKR state executive councillors today denied that the commission had been holding him ransom to help them nab targets.

Mohamad Imran Abdullah, 34, who was instrumental in the arrests of the two PKR defectors, Jamaluddin Mohd Radzi, 52, and Mohd Osman Mohd Jailu, 57, told the Session Court today that he had never made such an admission during the trial of another ongoing high-profile case.

He had earlier admitted that this was not the first time the MACC had employed him to set up traps for targets and that he had assisted the commission in two other cases, one involving the former Perak Syariah High Court Judge Hassan Basri Markum and another involving the illegal sale of Perak royal titles. - + selanjutnya
