Tsunami hits American Samoa after 7.9 earthquake; watch issued for Hawaii


[...] The Pacific Tsunami Warning Center reported a 10-foot wave hit Pago Pago, the capitol of American Samoa.

"Our resort in Samoa has been totally destroyed, but the guests and staff were evacuated just in time," George Danellis, general manager of the Salani Surf Resort posted on Twitter.

A tsunami watch is in effect for Hawaii, Papua New Guinea and other small Pacific islands, as well as New Zealand.

Update : Sebuah kapal dari Malalao Marian terdampar di tepi jalanraya akibat di bawa ombak Tsunami.
