Kg Buah Pala access cut off as residents watch in anguish

GEORGE TOWN: The remaining residents at Kampung Buah Pala watched in anguish Tuesday as one of the access roads into the village was sealed off by the developer, Nusmetro Ventures Sdn Bhd.

An excavator started digging the access road leading from Jalan Bunga Raya into Jalan Kaki Bukit at about 3.50pm Tuesday causing some of the residents who were inside their homes removing their belongings to rush out of their homes.

But unlike previous times when they used to protest, the residents just watched without even bothering to ask questions of the busy workers.

After digging works were completed, several workers erected wooden window and doorway frames which were taken from the demolished houses as barrier pillars to seal off the road.- + selanjutnya
