Cops held for asking foreigner for bribe
KULAIJAYA: Two policemen were detained for allegedly demanding a bribe from a Pakistani who had overstayed.
The patrol car unit policemen, in their 20s and 30s, were on crime prevention rounds here when they stopped the foreigner at about 11pm several days ago.
It is learnt that they demanded a RM1,000 bribe from the foreigner to let him go free.
Later, officers from the Malaysian Anti Corruption Commission (MACC) detained both of the policemen and recovered about RM650 that was paid to them. - + selanjutnya
