PKR councillors boycott swearing-in of MPSP president
BUTTERWORTH: Seberang Prai municipal councillors from PKR boycotted the swearing-in ceremony of new president Mokhtar Mohd Jait as a show of protest of his appointment.
PKR whip and councillor Johari Kassim insisted that the post should be allocated to the PKR, added that the party was not consulted when deciding on the appointment.
Mokhtar is the former Seberang Prai Utara district officer. - Star
