Sam Newman accused of racism over Footy Show remarks
CHANNEL Nine is investigating complaints that controversial star Sam Newman made a racist slur on the AFL Footy Show.
Newman held up a photo of a 107-year-old Malaysian woman on The Footy Show last week and called her new husband a monkey, The Herald Sun reports.
After panellist Brendan Fevola tried to rein Newman in, saying "You can't call him a monkey", the former ALF Cats ruckman reiterated his comments, saying the man was "not long out of the forest".
