Police shut roads ahead of Bagan Pinang nominations

PORT DICKSON, Oct 3 — Campaign for the Bagan Pinang election will officially begin today with Umno’s strongman Tan Sri Mohd Isa Abdul Samad to face Negri Sembilan PAS chief Zulkefly Omar.

Supporters of both parties have started gathering at their respective meeting points just outside Port Dickson preparing to march to the nomination centre at the municipal council building.

Police have started blocking the road leading to the nomination centre and traffic is building up along the major federal road that connects this coastal town to Malacca.

Nomination process begins at 10am and the Election Commission (EC) is expected to name the candidates around noon. Polling will be held on Oct 11. - + selanjutnya
