Muhyiddin confident of Chinese backing
PORT DICKSON: Deputy Prime Minister Tan Sri Muhyiddin Yassin is confident that Chinese voters in Bagan Pinang will support Barisan Nasional in the Oct 11 by-election as they are more than comfortable with the country’s new leadership.
Muhyiddin said the Chinese, as other Malaysians, were receptive of Prime Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Najib Tun Razak’s 1Malaysia policy.
“The Chinese voters know about these things and the new course taken by the new leadership. I am confident that all this will translate into votes,” he told reporters after accompanying Barisan’s Tan Sri Mohd Isa Samad to file his nomination papers for the by-election Saturday.- + selanjutnya
