Tee Keat claims Tiong’s police report is false, lodges second report

KUALA LUMPUR, Sept 9 – Datuk Seri Ong Tee Keat has claimed that a police report lodged by Datuk Seri Tiong King Sing is false and has lodged a police report over the matter.

Tiong had lodged a police report on Aug 26 which alleged that Ong had taken RM10 million in cash that was meant as a donation for MCA.

Ong, who is MCA president and transport minister, said that the police report is false and is lodging a police report in a bid to clear his name.

He had also lodged a police report on Aug 13 over reports that he had received RM10 million in donations meant for MCA and sued Tiong for defamation after the latter refused to retract his claims.

“I categorically deny Tiong’s baseless allegations and reiterate that I did not receive the money from him. His police report was malicious and clearly intended to smear me in my personal capacity, as Minister of Transport and MCA president,” said Ong in a posting on his blog today. - + selanjutnya
