Penang gives special bonus to civil servants
PENANG, Sept 16 — The Penang state government has approved financial aid of RM500 for all 3,299 officers in the Support Group under the state government’ administration.
Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng said in line with the federal government’s move the special financial payment of RM500 will be paid in two installments.
“The directive for the payment will be issued to the Penang Municipal Council, the Seberang Perai Municipal Council and all state government agencies,” Lim said in his Malaysia Day celebration speech here today.
He said the first installment of RM250 would be done today so that the money could be used for Hari Raya and the balance would paid at the end of December.
“The aid will involve state government spending of RM1,649,500.00 and salaries would also be paid earlier for two months for Hari Raya and Deepavali,” he said. - + selanjutnya
