'Penang' belongs to the people, CM told
GEORGE TOWN: Non-governmental organisations, conservationists and political parties are not amused with the state government's move to lay exclusive claim to the word "Penang".
They said "Penang" belongs to the people of the state and not the property of Chief Minister Lim Guan Eng and his administration.
Lim's critics have also urged the authorities, particularly the Registrar of Society (ROS), to look into the matter and come out with a guideline.
A text message describing Lim "as a dictator from Malacca leading Penang" has been making the rounds. - + selanjutnya
