Hisham denies Barisan has ignored Sabah, Sarawak
PUTRAJAYA, Sept 16 – Datuk Seri Hishammuddin Hussein refuted claims today by Pakatan Rakyat (PR) that Barisan National (BN) is forsaking Sabah and Sarawak and countered that the opposition wants to divide Malaysia.
The Umno vice-president called PR’s Malaysia day celebration in Shah Alam today a political gimmick.
“Yeah, of course they want to win Sabah and Sarawak for elections. So, again, it is all political,” he said.
East Malaysia is often seen as the “buffer zone” for the ruling coalition. The two states have been the vote bank for BN and were pivotal in denying the opposition pact a chance of ousting their rivals and wrest federal power. - + selanjutnya
