MIC Youth: We won’t allow another Indian party in BN
KUALA LUMPUR: The MIC would not allow another Indian-based party to be admitted into the Barisan Nasional coalition, party youth chief T. Mohan said here.
“We won’t allow parties which mushroom today to usurp our role in the coalition. We have been bringing the Indian support to Barisan all this while,” he told reporters after chairing an emergency meeting of the national MIC Youth council on Monday.
The MIC’s standing in the ruling coalition has taken a beating lately, with many blaming president Datuk Seri S. Samy Vellu’s heavy-handed ways for creating a leadership vacuum within the party. - + selanjutnya
