Close all schools early, says Fomca
KUALA LUMPUR: The Federation of Malaysian Consumers Associations (Fomca) wants the government to close down all schools ahead of the school holidays which will begin on Aug 21.
Its president, Datuk N. Marimuthu, told the New Straits Times that this was important to contain influenza A (H1N1) from spreading further.
"The number of deaths and people infected is increasing every day. And children are more vulnerable to the virus. So, it will be better if we control the situation now."
He said people were panicking and the association had been getting calls from parents who wanted the government to close down schools until the situation improved.
"This should be done as soon as possible." - + selanjutnya
